Automated booking that syncs with the van schedule

Greater Plumbing Co is a plumbing service on the Gold Coast. The owner, Zac, was starting a new business and needed everything from scratch — website, booking system, local SEO, and a way to manage jobs without drowning in admin while he was out on calls.

The problem

Starting a plumbing business means competing against established operators who already dominate local search. Zac had no online presence, no booking system, and no way for customers to find or contact him online. Every job was coming through personal referrals.

He needed a system that could take bookings while he was on a job, sync with his calendar so he didn't double-book, and rank for plumbing search terms across the suburbs he serviced — all without requiring him to sit at a computer.

What we built

A full-stack website with automated booking, Microsoft 365 calendar synchronisation, and local SEO targeting 25 Gold Coast suburbs.

Automated booking system

Customers book directly through the website. The system checks real-time availability against Zac's Microsoft 365 calendar, prevents double-booking, and sends confirmation emails automatically. Two-way sync means a booking made on the phone also blocks the website.

25-suburb SEO coverage

Location-specific content for each service area from Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach through to Tugun and Mermaid Waters. Server-side schema markup, dynamic sitemap generation, and Core Web Vitals optimisation.

Admin dashboard

Job tracking, customer follow-up for reviews, booking oversight, and performance metrics. Zac can see everything from his phone between jobs without logging into multiple systems.

Sanity CMS

Headless content management allowing service descriptions, suburb pages, and blog content to be updated without touching code.

Zac went from zero online presence to ranking for plumbing keywords across 25 Gold Coast suburbs. The automated booking system handles enquiries while he's on the tools. Customers book, the calendar syncs, confirmations go out — and Zac checks his phone at the end of the day to see what's been scheduled. The admin system tracks every job and prompts review requests to build social proof.
